  1. Hi! A few days ago I read an article about an 81 year old woman who had been writing to a man on death row for 28 years and, fair enough, she continued writing to him even after she learned of his crimes (through the internet); but she were "horrified & disgusted". When they eventually finished writing to each other a couple of years ago; she said she would never do it again.
What broke my heart a little AND made me decide to start writing to a few people on death row or/and people serving life, was when she said: "that she still gets letters now & again from people there who wants a pen pal, but that she just ignores them all"
That's when I knew what I wanted to do.
After days of searching the internet on this that and the other, I came across your blog & I found it really interesting; fair play to you!
I've also spent the last few nights sleepless and wondering what I would write in the first letter haha!
    Good luck.

  2. It is very rewarding, and the letters are so appreciated. I find it to be well worth it. Just write a bit about yourself. I worried at first, but I find now that I am getting replies that the letters flow quite easily. Good luck with it.
